Responsible Pet Ownership Program

We had a visit from Mrs Spiers and her dog Millie today.
They came to teach us about dog safety:

We learned about...

*When dogs should be left alone
*Things we should not do to dogs
*How  you can tell if a dog is happy, frightened or angry
*A safe way to approach and greet a dog
*What to do if approached by an unknown or aggressive dog.

First we learned what to if a dog was angry.
Lauren and Joshua were asked to hold the posters.

Then we learned about the safe way to approach a dog.
Nataya and Kiara were asked to hold the posters.

Amber, Kasey, Hunter and Sienna came out the front to demonstrate  the safe way to go up to a dog.

I was very proud of KR today.
They were very good listeners and had beautiful manners.
Well done!

Just a reminder that KR go to library tomorrow (Tuesday) so don't forget to put your library books into your school bag.

See you tomorrow
